Lunch was amazing! We ordered 3 types of paella - the black squid ink, fish and shellfish. Starters were fried baby squid, pimientos de padron and galician octopus. This was all accompanied by refreshing (but potent) glasses of icy cold sangria. Try as we did, all 11 of us could ...

We ended up at another supermarket in Santa Ponca instead - Erosti.

... but Kate finally arrived at 2115. She travelled 11 hours to get to Majorca from Switzerland (via Koln)! Back at the ranch, Cathryn and I were getting dinner organised. We did not sit down to dinner until 2230 and everyone was starving! Our reservations about there being too much food were set aside and the 7 of us consumed a whole 2 foot long salmon and 2 sea bass with a mixed vegetable stir fry.
It was well past midnight before we were in bed.
... dinner-quite a lot of folk have stayed in town to have dinner and party as we don't leave port until midnight so quite quiet on board for a change. There are normally around seven hundred folk making noise so it's quite blissful. We sail into Valencia in the morning so will probably have quite an early start. Have to start thinking about where we end up next . At this stage it will probably be Venice. Think we are gaining a kilo a day with all this yummy food-well maybe half a ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel Don Pedro Cala San Vincente
Good family hotel
I've been to this hotel the last 2 years and find it is a very friendly hotel.
A good hotel with great views, excellent food and drink. A must for anybody who wants to go All Inclusive.
Peaceful, Quiet & very pictureque
We have just spent a week in this hotel (6th to 13th September 2004) and we had a really nice "chill out" time. Cala San Vicente is one of the most pictureque places we have ever stayed in and the views and backdrop to the hotel are pretty stunning. The food was excellent and the entertainment was above average, all the staff were pleasant and friendly. All inclusive customers can share the facilities of a neighbouring hotel including meals so this added a bit of variety. Cala San Vicente is a small place so I would not recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a lively holiday, but if anyone is looking for peace n relative quiet in beautiful surroundings I would certainly recommend the Don Pedro.
We would definitely go again
clean beds, good choice and standard food
drinks only local but ok.
hotel in a very good position.
but we went out of season 23rd Sept and the
resort was very very quiet!
Just returned from a 2 week all inclusive break at The Don Pedro.
The Hotel is an excellent location, with one sandy and one stoney beach either side. Both Excellent for snorkelling. The Food was good, plenty of choice, salads, pasta, meat etc. The room was above average with air cond, and balcony.
The staff were excellent they worked liked trojans day and night.
The only thing I could fault it for was there were two many children there but we did visit during the school holidays so I guess that was our own fault. Unfortunatly alot of the parents seemed to have little or no control over there children and were intent on just dumping them on the entertainment staff.
Over all a very pleasant holiday and would defo visit the hotel again.
Me and my family went to the hotel in the last week of July 04 and the first week in August 04. the hotel was lovely and the rooms had aircon wich was a real help from when you had had a good day in the heat. The food was very nice, buffet style and you could get as much as you wanted. If you missed breakfast (as many of our family did!) then you could go and make your own snacks in the resturant were they had chips, burgers, sausages and pasta on all of the time so you were never hungry. The staff that are in the hotel are very freindly and they always offer to help when you need it. The views from the hotel were amazing, better than we thought they were goin to be. we had got a pool view from our room, it was still nice as you could see the mountains and the mountain goats that come out every so often! if you want a sea-view room then you will have to ask on the day that you book it, or you can ask on the change over days that they have got there to see if they have got a spare room for a sea view. There is a bus service as well, were the bus stop is just up the main street of the town and it only costs 1 euro to go to the town of porte Pollence were you can get all of your shopping that you cannot get in Calla san vicente. the entertainers (Simon, Debbie, Kikki and a few more that pop in every day) are very freindly people who are always ready for a laugh at any time. There are lots of activities for the whole family to take part in. For the adults, they have got archery, pistol shooting, rifle shooting, darts and many more that are held each day. For the kids there is a kids club were they do lots of activites on the beach and in the pool etc. Have a go at bingo as well! The prize varies every night but on average, if you win a line, you win about 50 euros and if you get the full house, then you win about 250 euros. The strips are quite expensive though, they are 7.50 euros for a strip of 6 tickets, but if you win, then it has paid for its self so over all it is just a bit of fun. I think that we will be returning to the Hotel Don Pedro again in the futur, so overall, the holiday was an absolutly, chill out, Hecktick free 2 weeks.
Want to go back
Great holiday. The rooms were nice, you didn't have to spend anytime in them apart from sleeping which was nice. The A/C was fine but some of the rooms didn't have any thought it was easy to hav your room changed. The reps that work there are great with kids and growups. Though there uniforms are stupid.
We are a family of 2 Adults & 2 Chldren 12 & 14 years. We are going back to this hotel for the
third time this summer in August!
It' a great hotel, great food, buffet style. All you can eat & drink! what more could you want! All inclusive.
The Entertainment is good as well.
The beach is very clean & the water very clear.
Just hope the sun shines for us.
Looking forward to going.
Loved the view
the view was stunning, food was above the average buffet.
the room i was in was a lot bigger than a single guest normally gets admitted the wc was a bit pokey but i managed and im a big lad
Pleasant, but average.
An average 3 star hotel. Rooms are adequate but the A/C wasn't working in high season so we were all very uncomfortably hot. Lots of people resorted to sleeping in chairs on the balcony because it was cooler than the bedrooms. Food good and plenty of it. Very nice pool with bar and easy access to the sea. Swimming in the sea in Cala San Vicente is excellent, even better than the pool. Some of the rooms, particularly those at the front of the hotel lack privacy, better to specify you want a sea view when you book. Gets very busy in high season with lots of kids. Entertainment at night. Nice bar right across the road from the hotel which does quite acceptable meals as well.
Been before the best ever I going back
it is the best hotel im 16 and had the best time ever and my mum and dad had a very good time i met my girlfriend there
