... have. Then to top it off, we finally got to I-80 only to hit the horrible wind and rain that was pounding the mid-west all this week. Couldn't have been more stressful - but we finally made it to Bob & Marilyn's smiling faces and went out for a great dinner and a "glass of stress relief" :-)

Gordon, Regina & family
... old fashion candy store next door, that is also part of these old historic bldgs, and then we had a quick tour of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
We had such a fun time and great visit with Gordon, Regina and the kids, and their 8 laying hens, 1 guinnea, 2 dogs, and 2 cats, in the country town of Leo.
We left Tuesday morning, and it was frosty white and cold outside, with clear blue and sunny skies. Gorgeous day to continue our trip westward!

Day 6
There was a Pittsburgh Steelers American Football game on Sunday night, and accommodations were both at a premium with sky high prices. I ended up in the university area, and the weather was so cold and miserable I ate locally. Monday was not much better, overcast and dismal. ... to get into Mackey basketball arena and Ross-Ade football stadium allowing Glenn to see the venues we enjoy while watching Purdue games at home.
Once in Fort Wayne, our last three nights on the trip were spent at my Dad's apartment. During the weekend we saw some college soccer games including my old team IPFW vs Michigan State, and crossed paths with some college friends. I even manage to join in on ...
Day 2 to Fort Wayne Indiana
... it to Fort Wayne early today -- the roads were nice, and clear, and I did not stop too much along the way. It will be tougher tomorrow.
Happy Birthday tomorrow Beth -- long live May Niners. I am sorry I cannot celebrate with you.
