... of hours we wanted to kill. Then it was back to the hotel for a light meal and a change of clothes. We had now been awake for over 25 hours. We caught a shuttle back to the airport and our young driver happened to be from Costa Rica. Our flight with Delta was close to being on time and we were finally on our way home at 11:30 am. On the way out the path went around a large tree root, which was just as well because if I had stepped over the root I would have walked on the 1.5 metre long snake coiled up next to it. ... the bus and bags searched. At least it was a lot cooler this time :)

After packing our things up again, everyone piled onto the bus. We slept until we were woken up with a Burger King Dinner and a movie. We slept again until the bus arrived in San Jose around 11:30 pm. So weird that we were so tired after sleeping so much on the bus! Unfortunately our hostel hadn't got back to us about whether we could change our booking, but ...
