    ... The place was full with happy drinkers and there were plenty of students in there. Incidentally, the hostel is very close by to the Uni here. We drank a couple of beers and then we were handed a few more to drink whilst the others chanted 'fonda-fonda', to dramatise the motion of drinking alcohol. We got back at 2.30ish.

    ... crocodiles, a sloth, an anteater, a coati, lots of different birds (including toucans, herons, egrets, and macaws), several frogs, lizards, snakes, monkeys, and lots of bugs.     ... it has so much to offer outside of the centre. I went into town for about 4 hours and was great. Yes it is expensive compared to the rest of Central America and yes it has loads of American franchises (never seen so many in my life!, not just restaurants but individual cafes and desert restaurants too), but you need to look beyond that.

    ... t know what I would do without my sunshirt. After it was clear that there would be no more wind or everybody was exhausted, we would all come back to the hotel.
