... of the three of us was an experienced high school teacher. He quickly got the classroom in order and taught the students how to clap silently, by bringing just two fingers together in the air above their heads.

... and it was only both side's defensive lines that stopped many tries being scored. With a few minutes to go NZ managed to score a try to level the scores, all we needed was the mighty Dan Carter to get the conversion and the game would be won. He missed - not so bloody mighty then! In the dying seconds our replacement winger broke through to score a try and seal the game. Who missed the tackle? None other but the Springbok captain ...

... braii area that we have breakfast or lunch on even in winter. There is access to the garage from the house with is more secure and plenty of room for the Jeep as George feels that the high cost of cars outweighs the convenience of having her own.

You can't help to notice the window bars in the pictures but it is something that you quickly get used to. The house is in a compound of four (another Kiwi and two Aussies) and we are protected by a high wall ...
