We were off as soon as possible on 22nd! Left the boat with the intention of getting back to Cagliari from Calasetta.

... not at all as we had been assured in e-mails etc., and without further ado, we left the boat in the morning. Well we are old enough and sensible enough not to have to put up with discomfort and hardships for eight to ten weeks!

We discovered this was not the first time that Mike and Lola had experienced crew jumping ship. Mike asked us not to panic the others as he had found; 'once one leaves, they all leave'.

I happen to know exactly where we are because we had not long passed the ruins of a church and it had been detailed on our map – so I point to his map where we are and follow the road on the map with my finger to point to where it comes out – he’s very happy with this, big smiles and thumbs up all round – he goes off to tell his friends and we’re on our way again.

... After the initial shock Pete went over in the dinghy to say hello, as this is the first Aussie we'd seen in the Med. Jerry was a very nice guy and ended up comming over for a drink that evening (he had shorts on). He is married to a Swiss lady and spends his summers cruising the Med. We only had a brief trip ashore and a quick look around as well as some shopping for groceries, then departed the next day.

Vrijdag is het afwachten op de storm, 's morgens blijkt dat we de weerberichten goed hebben geïnterpreteerd, zijn al gedraaid met onze boeg naar het westen. Met de bijboot gaan we nog even op verkenning naar het drukke strand en omstreeks 16.00 steekt de langverwachte storm op. Het begint met donkere wolken aan de hemel en gusts ...

Ok, I apparently still don't have a strong enough internet signal to upload photos so unfortunately I can't share the pictures I've been taking. I will upload them once I get to the states. Also, I am having trouble with the map feature on the site, so some of them aren't accurate.

Fizemos o farnel e passamos o dia inteiro na praia um pic-nic bem bom, ao final da tarde fomos às compras, quando chega-mos ao quarto estava la uma osga, a Sónia fez a birra do costume :) eu e o Diogo tivemos de fazer uma caça à osga, acabamos por jantar fora, mas que bella pizza.

hi there . sono a lavoro e cazzeggio guardando i vostri travel blog sull'india. domani devo mandare le foto e la richiesta per il visto a roma. non vedo proprio l'ora di partire. in questi giorni ho cercato di dedicarmi veramente ad altro - ma l'eccitazione per il viaggio aumenta e cresce giorno dopo giorno. manca solo un mese... aiuto è dietro l'angolo! devo ancora comprarmi zaino e sacco a pelo...
