The island of Mykonos is world famous for its stunning scenic beauty comprised of windmills, sparking bays, superb beaches, white houses and churches with their colorful blue and red domes.

We headed to the center of the island, and visited the village of Ano Mera and the Monastery Panayia Tourliani. We also had a chance to enjoy ouzo and Greek appetizers in the peaceful little square of the village.

We passed by Ornos Beach, one of the most cosmopolitan beaches ...

Here i meet some new roommates, did some reading, then headed out into town. I went to the main square, walked around, found a tour place and booked a tour ...

      ... checked it out.

I first walked along the beach, explored it, then found a spot to swim, was in the water for a few minutes, came out, then walked along the beach some more, then walked back to the hostel. I then got changed, read, relaxed and then left the hostel to find a place for dinner. I waked to the main square, found some more hire places, then looked around the main square, found a place for ...

... wonderful people in Mykonos, some from all parts of the world. I met a few gay couples from England, often bumping into them the next night, at the very same place, at around the very same time. I met a guy from Berlin who had a very interesting life story… And another guy Nick who my first words to him were “Ugh, another ******* Australian!” Apparently this time of year, Mykonos is FULL of Australians. And without sounding too cynical or harsh towards ...
