... and other carriages attached to our train for the Paris section. We both must have been sleeping during that stop for we never heard anything.

We decided we have done the "night train thing", never again. It's nothing like the movies, "The Orient Express" or the like. We would fly long distance routes in future.

Our train arrived at Paris Est station right in time.

I was awoken this morning by the ringing of church bells and the scream of police sirens. After brioche and fruit for breakfast, we set out to walk around this gorgeous city.
