This morning we went and hired a couple of bikes and road around Pest. Being Sunday the streets were really quiet. We went down to St Stephens Church and Parliaments House. After returning the bikes we went to the House of Terror which is a museum of the history of Hungary's Communist dictational regimes during the 20th Century. It was really good (sad), but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to spend in there ...

... beautiful flowers and gardens. We were at the palace until after 530 there for 4 hours, more walking and training this time to the other end of the city, in search of a brewery not far from where we were at Staedpark for lunch yesterday. Anyway, we were having a few difficulties locating this, Sean's short cuts....... And a hard to read map, with Sean getting more frustrated by the minute, probably close to 630/700 ...

Schonbrunn Palace was the summer home of the Habsburgs. It is of course very grand and exquisitely decorated. The entrance to the Palace has your typical grand entrance, you could just picture yourself arriving in your horse drawn carriage through the front gates around the fountain and up to the stairs, where the servants would help you down. OK, back to reality and I'll slug myself up the stairs....

... to get a few things for lunch and dinner so that it was already taken care of. We walked around the inside of a massive grocery store called Tesco. It was almost too much to handle because we had not been around than much food and selection of things in a long time. Ultimately though we went back to the Lidl and bought stuff. Super interesting... I know. In our defense, we just said that we were travelers... not interesting ones.

... to hidden treasures, flowers to furniture, all types of food and drink, and there are even restaurants and bars running throughout. Luckily I arrived to have most of the afternoon perusing all the stalls, but I could have probably have spent all day there. I managed to get slightly conned into buying falafel and chilli humus. I was a bit annoyed at first (even though it had only cost me €2.50) as I didn't think I liked falafel all ...
