... Anyway, we started off going up the St. Mark's Campanile (the Bell Tower). Unfortunately, we cannot climb this tower. We HAD to take the elevator. It was a total bummer, but at least we had great views of Venice through the gates.

St. Mark's Basilica is beautiful. There was a service going on when we entered, but once that's over, the lights lit up the place. The entire place is gold plated so it was really really shiny. ...

Typical Italians kept saying we should go to the next check point to get one and over and over it went. not our's I'm afraid. There's the wardrobe that has a very distinct lean to the left,.. it just follows the floor lean.
But is adequate and is in a very good location.
      More later,I'm tired.
It's morning ..7.23, breakfast 5 min away and delivered to the room, this should be interesting!
I've turned the air con off to have a rest from the noise, but the room is already warming up...another hot day on the way.
We hope to get out ...

... the beach was just across the road, we were happy with our shady pitch in the pine woods and after the places we’d stayed over the previous few days we wanted to relax and enjoy some swimming. We cycled the short distance to the beach but instead of the wild grassy, sand dunes we had imagined, we were met with the sight of hundreds of (14 euros a day) parasols and sun loungers . The beautiful, sandy beach was a commercial, nightmare with barely any ...
