    Our cruise end is nigh!

    ... rather low key evening. Caught up with some of the people we had met and shared a farewell drink. We were entertained by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and then to bed as we were being collected by our driver at 0700 to take us to the train station!

    As I farewell the Regal Princess I will leave you with some final ship facts.

    ... where we will connect with another train to Firenze and then a third train to Venice that arrives according to our ticket at 2:20pm. That’s not too bad really; however the downside was that we could not use or alter our original ticket. They were only good for note paper and not very good for that since they already had writing all over them. So they were discarded and we begrudgingly handed over another 250 Euros for our new tickets.

Some had a religious theme, but not as much as you see in the Vatican for example. To me all the Doges in these paintings looked the same; golden robes and long white beards.     ... Surprisingly, there were a few in the neighborhood. After a bit of souvenir gathering, we settled on a place and enjoyed plates of lasagna and tagliatelle with mushroom cream sauce. It was a fitting setting for our last supper in Venice. (Without correction, we are set for eight last suppers in Milan. More on that later.)

    Tonight we rest, pack, and are off tomorrow to the financial capital of the north, Milan. Ciao.
