So after what feels 24hours in the dark, arriving in fiji and sleeping for literally another 20 hours I am awake and outside! ... around 12 noon. We checked into The Terrace Apartments and installed ourselves in the very spacious apartment. We did a little shopping at Port Denarau and then returned to do the last clothes wash of the trip in our apartment. We spent the rest of the afternoon around the large pool, enjoying the Fijian rays and swimming. The resort had a pool side cafe which we went to for our evening meal. We were the only customers but we had a very good supper and very friendly ...

... is 20 minutes Island Time. More like 55 minutes by my watch. Bob wasn't going to go but we had a walking stick made for him so he could navigate the journey. We walked along a narrow path past lots of beautiful tropical vegetation, over bridges constructed from palm trees, up small hills and through a rain forest. The guide stopped several times to identify the plants and tell us how the Fiji people used them for medicine and other things. I can't ...
