Something about the cafe and how it was rainy weather but not rainy that day and the relaxing painting I did while at the cafe, made me feel like I was at the Alisal. ... about looking silly - everyone wears a hat and sunglasses as it is just so hot. July was not the best month to go and if you can plan to go at a cooler time of the year I would recommend between April and June. Don't worry if you don't want to take a hat - there are street sellers all over the place selling them or umbrellas used as sunshades.
