2 planes - 1 bus - 3 trains - 1 taxi later and we arrive in Bressanone. About 40 hrs of transit was well worth it... this place is adorable - its like walking around in a postcard. Have been snowboarding the past 3 days which was lots of fun - bussed up the mountain to Plose ski fields area... have added some pictures and will caption the pictures if we can.
Bressanone, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy melpietzner... loud at night, although it doesn't really bother me. The worst thing is my power kept going out! One time there was a surge and it did something to my computer, which now does not work right. My computer won't connect through an ethernet cord, which it did fine before, and I was quite concerned about this until I learned I can get university wireless in my room.
A big problem is the language barrier. A lot of the hotel staff don't speak a word of English, so it was very ...
... off of them. Looking at all the hills around, this might be a great city to go hiking in! On another trip I will have to try and spend a couple of days here, for it looks to be a very busy and interesting place to visit!
I am not sure what it is with me and trains on this trip! I was in a nice room with a couple of guys, who got off at one of the many stops and then who comes in??? The Austrian police with some guy they are dealing ...
Today was a slow day. We drove out to Auronzo, which is a small lakeside town that we passed on the way to Cortina from Uldine on Sunday. We hiked around the lake and walked around town some, grabbing ice cream and window shopping at the craft and souvenir stores.

Trey and I did a 30+ mile bike ride from Cortina up to Prato Piazza. The length wasn't difficult, but the 900 meter climb was very strenuous. The ride through the forests, along the river, past a lake, and then up to the top were very scenic. We stopped towards the top to rest and eat our sandwiches. Peanut butter sandwiches never tasted so good after the climb to 2200 meters!

... nice views off of the trails of Rio de Fanes and we then returnied to Alycia, who happened to be right next to the falls we were looking for. It was a 3 hour hike covering about 7 miles going up to 1500 meters or more.
Trey was feeling better late in the day, so the family walked around town a while tonight before eating dinner and calling it a night. Tomorrow will be much more strenuous as Trey and I are planning an all-day bike ride.
... and Ladin in the centre. The Ladin language is an old romanic language based on Latin and not dissimilar to minority languages in the Austrian and Swiss mountains (Ladinsch and Romansch/Retoroman).
Historically the Region of South Tyrol belonged to the Venitian empire for many a century until it was swallowed by Napoleon and then per treaty came to the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the 19th century. Most people here still speak German rather than Italian and the ...
... 50. They tried to run the ball early but couldn’t and they really weren’t able to get their Italian running back going at all. He finished with 7 carries for 6 yards. We had them in 3rd and 15 but they threw a comeback to #3 their American defensive back/ receiver who played at the University of Washington in 2000 (E. Harris is his name). Reggie was in at corner and slipped on the play. A couple plays later they hit a goaline fade to #3 over ...
Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy mavsqb1... Meyer went on to speak highly of Harvin, as a person and player and say how much he loved him.
After that game Meyer was again speaking at a press conference. Tim Tebow had just thrown the entire University of Florida offense on his back and willed them to a victory against a stout physical Alabama defense as only Tim Tebow could. Meyer said that after the third quarter he went up to Tebow and told him that they were going to put the game on his ...
... After a relatively easy day. the biggest event was seeing Carlo's research on how the mandolin has been perceived in art for the last 1500 years...mostly in religious art, this little plucked instrument has been around for a while. mostly being held by angels in religious art. Our bus picked us up and took us to the theater...we had a dress rehearsal but some time to walk around. But our first surprise was being let up the steps and show our ...
