Last Saturday, I took a day trip to Toledo which is just an hour bus ride south of Madrid. I went with a large group that I had met two days earlier. That Thursday went went to a place that had a bunch of board games. It was a fun diversion to play Jenga as something different. That Friday night I then went out to get some Ethiopean food. ... by the Christians. Again it took a while, and lots of going round in circles!! This building is quite small but it's stood the test of time, being over 1000 years old. Built towards the end of the 10th century this small mosque was converted to a church with the addition of the semi-circular nave. Ancient wall paintings are still visible inside... both Christian iconography and Arabic script.
