We all felt light-headed and breathless from the very high altitude. We could only take a few steps at a time and often had to rest to get our breath back. There were many terraces to explore which offered different views and aspects of the incredible mountains. There were some extreme sports enthusiasts at the top. We walked inside the glacier and it was cold, quiet, still, eerie and quite an awesome experience. Especially when you realise the whole thing is moving down the valley at 1cm an hour and you are inside with all your family!
