This is where our Brussels journey ends. After the Atomium, we went back to retrieve our things and head for the train station. The trip was amazing, and I am so glad we picked a lesser-known city to meet Jessie in because it made the trip all the more interesting and memorable.

I am sitting here on a train to Paris to meet my family for a week and a half of more awesome adventures, and I am just in awe ...

... at the playground. My favorite part was when Sage instigated a game of chase with Daddy and Bryn. After running all over the park, Bryn appeared at my side shouting, "Mommy, there's an evil guy coming! His name is Daddy!"

Overall, I wasn’t completely satisfied with the “kid friendly” aspect of the things we did today, but as far as Bryn and Sage were concerned they beat the Grand Place and Manneken Pis. ...

... was on the recommendation from one of our new Belgian friends, Jade.

It’s pretty weird! Built for the world fair, held in Brussels in 1958, its kind of like a giant Mechano model (Something like that) that you can go inside. From the top you couldn’t see too much because of the fog but we did get a good view of mini Europe (Theme park) and we learnt a bunch about the history of Belgium, Brussels and the construction of the Atomium.

... waffles. Everything but waffles in fact. So our pursuit continued, now onto Le Pain, another recommendation per our front desk friend. Just like Charli's, no waffles were to be found (seriously?!?), so instead of pounding the pavement even longer, we took a seat.

Unlike any other breakfast I've ever had before, this one consisted of a basket of assorted breads, spreads, juice, and water. No eggs, meat, or fruit? Hmmm...

... nice restaurant in one of the guild houses. I got a croque monsieur that was wonderful. I really like being called monsieur by the waiters.

The next day we saw the Royal Palace, the European Parliament, the Musical Instruments Museum, ate lunch on top of the museum, saw the Musée BELvue, the Musées Royaux des Beaux Arts de Belgique and then finished our stay with a Belgian Waffle.
