Got about 4 hours of sleep before starting my 3:00 am watch. Full moon so the stars aren't as brilliant tonight. Nothing in sight except ocean as far as the eye can see, illuminated by the moonlight it's very peaceful. Favorable winds put us ahead of schedule a little something so we my stop in Guadalupe for 6 hours or so. Lights from the southwest end of Guadalupe just ...

... the shore line. We were in ten feet of water and four feet from our stern was 3 feet of water. We arrived later in the afternoon but could not wait to go on shore. We changed into our bathing suits and went swimming on the beach. The kids found a couple of coconut trees to climb and wasted no time creating a beach bar from the coconuts.
The water is very clear. In fact so clear that we could see our 36 inch black barracuda ...

After a few days at Iles Des Saints we made our way to Pointe A Pitre. Pointe A Pitre is Guadeloupe's largest and most important city. When we arrived in town we found a great spot for lunch and ...

Sleeping in expensive bed and breakfast wasn't an option so I put my hammock wherever I could hide because free camping is not allowed (yeah it's free so...). I slept in the cliff of the south of the island the first night, facing the sea, sharing the place with wild goats. It was free and probably the best thing you can do, just me and the nature, by the sea, swinging ...

... they could drop me. The captain was a typical French sailor, a bit rough, a bit hard to get on with but well, I kept coming back to say hello to show them I was really keen. Days passed and muster was nicer to me, and finally agreed to take me onboard, the plan was to go in a few days. Sweet! Is dream plan coming true?
Let's discover the rest of stuff that was on the list before leaving then! Les Saintes islands here we ...
