... none the less. We were back at our hotel by 2ish, lunch, and afternoon by the pool. We have been amazingly lucky with the weather on the whole trip. It has been warm days with blue skies the whole way. We leave here tomorrow for our final destination of the trip. Catch a ferry tomorrow to mainland France, Nice. ... We park in town, do some exploring, go down to the docks, this is where we will catch the ferry to Nice on Saturday - another 6 hour trip, and have lunch at a pleasant restaurant. Roger had mussels for about the millionth time, I ordered a salad that I thought was something completely different to what it was. ... sauce. I had the Carpaccio, duck Confit salad with the grilled lobster tail for dinner. Dessert was the best I've ever had. A great soufflé with a hot whisky sauce that tasted like a zabaglione. Jamie had the brandy and camembert mouse with fig. We ordered a very nice pinot noir off the special wine list for Jamie's birthday.


After dinner with had drinks in the Club. A sauterne and a Jameson neat.

... with the other two? Each says their information in a different way. By late this afternoon or early evening, Jacques had decided we would leave on Oct. 8 -- time yet to be determined. He wanted to leave from the tiny village/bay of Macinagio, at the Cap Corce (tip of Corsica). In theory, if we begin our now 17 hour run to Cannes, we could leave early around 4:30a.m. of the 8th, and be in Cannes by 8:00p.m. that same night.
