... rental about 3:00 for a light snack after three hours of touring. We then walked the grounds and hillside forest area next to the property which provided a great view of the surrounding areas. We gathered some kindling for a fire in the fireplace of our rental. The old stone cottage is pretty cool in the evening and a fire in the living room feels great.

Tonight for dinner we had a little North Atlantic salmon with potatoes and vegetables. Quick and easy. Great first day in ...

... just South of Avignon about 12:45. We were greeted by a Londoner who works for the owners. The owners are in the states for a holiday. Robin, our greeter, showed us our two bedroom cottage on the property. Moulin de la Roque is an old flour mill converted to vacation rental with the capacity to support about fifty guests. The grounds are beautiful and the cottages and rooms charming. ...

We spent some time in the ruins of the chateau sitting atop a hill, looks like it's undergoing renovations, as are many places we've been too so perhaps next time we come this way it will be possible to ...

... different to what we drink now. As it was still quite early we headed into beaucaire. Walked along the quai by he canal, lots of boats marred in the Harbour, including some restaurant boats. Then headed up into the old historic part. Came across a pretty square with many artisan shops and workshops, most were closed but found a ceramic workshop and the very friendly owner invited us ...

After a couple more days sitting out the storm, we moved on to a France Passion site. Beautifully sunny and very hot.
We spent the last couple of days chilling and visiting the towns and villages around the campsite. A well organised place with beautifully clean loos and showers that I was happy to use. And the restaurant was superb.
The promised weather never materialised, but that was probably ...
