... though. We walked to the beach, and had another really nice dinner out. Walking some of the streets here is good agility training for hockey - you have to constantly dodge dog poop on the sidewalks. Quite gross. We will spend the night in Nice, and take another train tomorrow to La Brigue, where we will begin our one week hike! No idea how tough it will be - guess we'll find out ...

After the service, I went back to the house and found the doors still locked. I saw a woman inside and knocked on the window. She kindly let me in, ...

Day 9-

I awoke early today, a little after dawn, thanks to my early night. I walked through the town, which now seemed entirely abandoned. I had been told that I could breakfast with the brotherhood at the Maison St Bernard, but I could not find the place! I went to the welcome center to ask the hospitalier for directions, but even together we could not find it. He apologized and offered for me to have breakfast with him, which I accepted. I munched ...
