... trucks. We are sitting in the lobby debating start times for tomorrow which is forecast to be another hot day. Our final day is another 115 Kms. Another story which I introduced yesterday is the dog. Apparently no owner could be found. Caroline has had the dog immunized against rabies and booked him a place on our flight, so Tom is going home with a new bike and another dog. Hopefully Tom will expand on this story, but he may be too busy walking our new ...

... Kms to the top when I came around a bend and found the gang waiting at the sign. At this point Gilles left us. The rest of the day was primarily downhill with a stop to visit the Chappelle de la Trinite, which is .a gorgeous little chapel in a tiny village. We had a dinner in a local pizza place which was excellent. I was so tired I could hardly see, and I do not think I was the only one.

... and we offered him some ham--that, he definitely was interested in. Then a local woman drove up and stopped. She said that she'd seen the dog at a different spot up the road that morning. There was no way we were leaving a dog in that situation, so we put him in the van with a plan to find a vet or a shelter on the way.

The next town was La Bastide and it was a typical small French country ghost town although it did have ...

Gee, usually everyone else uploads blog entries so I just toss in a couple of photos. Everyone must be tired today after our personal-best making day of 3100m climbing over 119 km distance. I too am tired so this will be brief.

Fortunately the weather was accommodating today, giving us cooler temperature and primarily clouded conditions ...
