We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

I went off to interrogate the life guard and was surprised to discover it was only 19C; it must have been a heck of a lot lower in Brittany. After swims and naps we headed home to make a birthday supper for Phil.

... seem with quiet a few shops closed. I think many of the French town centres are finding it hard to compete with the out of town shopping malls. The one we called in on going back was packed. We wandered around the streets, visited the Palace, which was free today as it was 'Heritage Day', and generally had a nice day being tourists.

Tomorrow we are off to the beach and have a meal to cook for Phil since it's her ...
