... Thought that was pretty funny. The bar opposite our hostel was the main bar in Byron, Cheeky Monkeys. We went out there and Lucy and 2 girls we met from Bristol got involved in the bikini competition, the winner out of 15 would receive $300. After some dramatic "battling" for 2nd and 3rd place including one girl falling/ being pushed off the stage, Lucy won and one of the Bristol girls came third. I was working New Year's Eve but finished by 8pm so we went to a party at our friends place in Lennox. Again, a lot of our friends were absent ( mostly in Sydney as everyone had to see the harbour fireworks at least once!) but we had a lovely evening. Iri's Xmas pressie off his housemates was a spit roaster as he loves to cook and entertain and so it was spit roasted ...

To be honest we're a little worried our tan is going to be gone by the time we get home so it's better if we stay out of the wind where we can sunbathe in the warm and not get a blanket of sand.
