... best footy games we've ever seen - better luck next year boys!
Before we knew it our 4 nights were gone and it was time to pack up the crew and head back to Brisvegas.
If you're looking for great shopping, stylish surroundings and sophisticated dining - go to Noosa.
If you want to spend some quality time with your family, kicked back in togs and thongs with sand in your knickers and sea air in your face - go to Brunswick Heads :)
... there are lots of sharks about this time of year, we decided we would just sit on the beach and watch!
We did the walk again today - alone, we did go equipped with mobile and bandage in case we got attacked by a brown snake but were fine, returned unscathed. Today was fab, we saw a pod of dolphins doing their flipper impersonations, whales tail slapping and a lizard.
Max has seen the dog of her dreams, its a Cavapoodle ...
... though, I might add. As I was walking over to Arts Factory, a group of locals starting beefing with me for no reason. Like seriously, here I am, basically a pack mule in the middle of a dark road, absolutely harmless and doing nothing to bother anyone, and some tit keeps telling me, "you're **** mate. You're a piece of ****. I'm pretty sure I shat you out. The only reason you're alive is ...
Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia stuggin... looked like. Norwegian welders, maybe. The propaganda from Denmark seems to paint an altogether different picture. They were pleasant women, certainly, but they strongly resembled Art Garfunkel and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Looks are not everything and beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but when you are promised so much and you get delivered something quite different it does rankle. Especially on a day spent drinking fine wines and nibbling on delicious ...
Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia dantheeducator... and group was big, around 40 people, which looked impressive as we all drove around. I ended up near the front and managed to get the bike up to around 80 km/h. I would seriously recommend this trip to anyone who goes to Australia. We spent the evening chilling out in the hostel chatting to some of the other guests, and went to bed fairly early because we had a 6:30 am bus. We had been told by the hostel owner that he would run us down to the bus station if we got down to ...
Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia jonathanbugIts been raining for days. Its grey and very scottish here, with occassional reminders that we are in the tropics with thundering rain which is flooding some places in minutes. We have driven for a few hours in the rain and managed to get trapped in a particularly heavy downpour on the highway. Around 6pm here, it just becomes night quite suddenly and this time it crept up on us abit too soon. Coupled with the ...
Byron Bay, Australia andyandkirstine... It totally dominated the sky and made the whole sky a deep shade of reddy/orange. It was weird having my umbrella up and enjoying the sunset but very cool. Of course I got lost on the way back and the walk took me double the time. I ended up walking in the pitch black along the desserted beach, heading towards the lights in the distance which I was sure were from the main town. I took a tour out to Nimbin with Jim's alternative tours. Unfortunately, Jim wasn't there but instead Jan ...
Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia samcohen1987... a groovy strap mark across my chest from my bag. A few years ago, I was in Cannes, and went to the local market early Sunday morning with my friend Hollie. We walked two or three miles back to our hotel down the beach in the midday sunshine, and when we got inside, I realised that because I'd been wearing a bag with the strap across my chest and a scoop neck top, I had essentially ended up with a warning sign burned into my chest. It took about three ...
Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia suzlouaDiving today: a double dive going backwards out of the boat with all my kit on, the sea was a bit choppy but brilliant to say the least, saw plenty of underwater life (photos to come). Diving is just brill! Saw Dolphins on the 5 min trip out the dive site, just swimming around, cool! We ...
Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia traceywilson... we will be leaving again for a week, travelling (again, on buisness) up the Sunshine Coast, as far as Bundaberg, so I'll be offline for a bit. I'll be back on next weekend, just in time to update you all before I leave the following Tuesday. Nathan
