... visited the cathedral, which we didn’t realize would entail being locked inside for a 30 minute tour in Slovak that we didn’t understand and couldn’t escape. Oh well.

Otherwise, there isn’t much to see in the little medieval village, but it was very enjoyable to visit and have a day away from the big city. There were many nice green spaces and pretty little streets to walk down. We felt really lucky to have been able to visit ...

The following day, we boarded a bus to head to Zakopane, which is a Polish village located in the Tatra Mountains. To say this place is adorable would be a huge understatement.

We stashed our bags in the bus station and set out to explore. We only got lost a couple of times before we made it to the town centre. Krakowski street is the main area of the town and it is filled to the brim with authentic restaurants and pubs. We made sure ...

These are ski lifts in the winter and in the summer, the lifts are used for hikers like us. It takes 3 lifts to get to the top. Anyway, while in line for the lifts, about 50 people showed up in ...

... It looked pricey, but it included the water park, sauna, and what we thought were mineral hot springs. It's the off season, so we got a deal for one night free if we stayed 2.

It was a 4 star hotel and with breakfast, dinner, the hotel, and the water park, we spent just over 100 Euros a night. That's a pretty good deal. Unfortunately, these aren't natural mineral waters. But we got over that pretty quick when ...

... 6°C we warmed up quickly. There were a lot of dead trees around, because in 2004 there was a massive tornado like storm the came through and destroyed a lot of the forest, the dead trees are still there because of the natural habitat that they provide to lots of animals and bugs. We took our time walking up, stopping and taking in the lovely views. Once we got to the ...
