... Viking before coming to Scenic. Before that she worked as accountant for 10 years for only €200 / month. She said the money on the ship is much better, though Viking paid double to what Scenic does and she felt Viking are the better ships. We said that ocean liners have a bad reputation for paying poorly and having bad conditions for crew. She said this was true but the river cruisers pay much better wages and the conditions are better eg include health cover etc ...
We made the tram in plenty of time. I was given the task of locking up the bikes while Annette went and chatted up the tram driver before she went over to the hole in the wall to extract some Euro. Good stuff that Euro, but it doesn't last long when in the wallet!
