Changsha, Hunan, China isingbassIt is now 11:17 AM, Monday October 26, 2008. We are just hanging out in our room waiting to meet the other couples in the hotel lobby at 2:30. At that time we will get on a bus and travel 30 minutes to an office where we will pick up our babies. Everybody is pretty quiet this morning as the jitters set in. We'll see how everybody is this afternoon!! Kathryn and I are doing pretty good actually. That's all for now - I'm hitting the bunk for some rest.

... If you can't guess what that means then forget about it. So, i have taken some very beautiful head shots of the guys that did it. Roman and Pat are missing. Roman wasn't there until later and Pat was being difficult. Thanks for rounding up the other guys, Luke!!
Besides drinking and staying up all night, there is nothing much to report. See for yourself....
... Kuinka sitä ihminen voi erehtyä! Kiinassa pieni kaupunki tarkoittaa jotain ihan muuta kuin Suomessa. Kyselin asukkailta, paljonko kaupungissa on asukkaita, jolloin sain vastaukseksi että noin 1-7miljoonaa ihmistä. Tarkistin asian wikipediasta: Zhuzhoussa on vaatimattomat 3,65 miljoonaa asukasta. Eli ei ihan maaseutua varsinaisesti.
Erika itse asui kaupungin laitamilla, Zhuzhoun Foreign ...

I was able to watch Zhong Bin and Le Tian, today. They are both non- English major juniors and they are very bright.
Le Tian got second prize with 8 other students and Zhong Bin got third prize with 10 other students. This was out of 60 non-English major ...
I have finally returned from a well needed break. The last nine days, I have been in Changsha and Shanghai. I went to Changsha for two nights and then Shanghai for seven. It has been a good adventure.
I went to Changsha to celebrate National Day with all of my fellow teachers. It was a huge day for the PRC and Changsha was wild.
Besides partying with everyone, not much was done.
Here are the few pictures from the nights in Changsha.
... off, they just forgot to tell us about it though. Today I created a video slideshow of some of my adventures and interesting things I've seen in China. When you watch the video, click the other side of the mouse over the video and you can make it fullscreen, just go the zoom option. Hope you guys enjoy.
... was truly great or that no one has had Italian food in over a month. After-wards everyone went out to the bars. Today I didn't get up until 12 and then for the rest of the day I watched the TV series West Wing on my computer. I haven't had a day like that in a while and it was amazing.
I have finished my first week of teaching and it went really great. Every class is so excited to see you and they all clap when you come in the classroom. I have a couple classes that are going to be a handful and I will have to be really strict with them. I have Fridays off and today I'm just ...

The senior 1 classes are great they can understand English pretty well, so you can accomplish a lot more with them. This week's lesson plan has been about rules, consequences, goals for the year, my intro, and a worksheet in which the students answer questions about ...
Changsha, Hunan, China seefs... for a little bit, then I walked down, which had made my butt and my legs really sore today (Saturday). I got in another cab and went to the biggest ferris wheel in China, mo tian lun, but this was closed. Or maybe I just couldn't find how to get up to it, either way I took a picture, tried my hardest to get up to it, and then gave up and took a taxi to the "walking street" to see what was there. And plus I had more money because I hadn't paid the fee to ride the ferris wheel! I did ...
