Before we leave we update the blogs and book a hotel in the airport in Doha for our stopover when we return from Namibia. We should get to the port today, so possibly sail tonight. The scenery today is lovely, the hills wirh the mountains beyond have a look of the Lake District. There are a lot of the wetland areas with masses of storks feeding. Doris, or rather ...

... It was a hugely enjoyable and very social evening with our new Vliho friends, despite a very so-so taverna. The instant comradery a fun but short, return to the cruising world. Next morning everyone was on their way, we sailed too, via Onassis' island to meet up with Pipit. We pulled alongside them, big smiles, waves and halloos - before moving off to drop anchor - alas, not-to-be! Andy rowed over to assist but nothing seemed to re-engage LP's anchor windlass. Mega plan changes! ...

... our second stop a little over a week ago.... Sivota. This time it was not overly packed with boats, skiers, jet-skis and swimmers.... As we learned yesterday, in Paxos...the tourist season has now ended...and the remainders, like us, really seem to enjoy the relief, and see the real beauty that was blanketed people last week. TheBuckner island was launched, and Lida was its first guest, joined by Justin. I took a floatee and joined them at the stern of Millie. ...
