      Decided the boys could go off looking at dead bricks while Ruth and I went shopping. Thought we would catch the bus, well after waiting ages for the bus to show up the driver did some sort of weird hand signal and stopped away from the bus stop. Ruth ran to catch it but he drove off.       ... to George and he told us his love story he bought us a round of shots. Ouzo for the boys and peach schnapps for the girls. Then Constantine decided he needed to give us shots too. A round of strawberry schnapps.

      Left Athens are 12 and went out to the airport for our 4 o'clock. Had a very relaxed wander and check in. Plane up, plane down and we are on Kos. Checked in, found the supermarket and got necessary supplies, beer, ouzo, nibbles etc. Back for a swim and pre dinner ...

      ... castles built with the desecrated remains of roman and Greek wonders, so that was no great loss. After arriving in kos and dropping of my bag at my hotel, I procured a scooter and spent most of my time exploring the island.
