Shanzu beach Mombasa, Kenya, 44-20-8466-0014
... beach stretches for kilometres each way. The ocean glimmers between the many palm trees and is a light, inviting turquoise. Marvin and I both exhale the breath we had been holding – this is pure paradise. I am moving here! We scan the beach and finally decide on the palm tree that will be home for the next couple of days. Minutes later we are running towards the water and dive into the waves. Ahhhhhh ...

Mombasa, Kenya shantanuchand... not but the challenges for everyone are mounting and with China and Asia now facing the same I wonder where this is all going to end. With Gordie trying to find another 180 zillion pounds from tax payers to save us, this might be a good time to invest in a great little book 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' by the clever author Douglas Adams; you only need to read the first 10 pages to get the drift and the ...

Not sure where to start I've got lots to say and the keyboard is jammed up and old so I keep having to skip back and correct words - any words with the letter "f" or "M" or WDBVA missing; just guess!! So now I can take all ...
Mombasa, Kenya amandab9375... them 100 shillings....still angry about that. - while the tide was coming in (MUCH quicker than we thought) Jessie and I put our bags on the sand so we could watch them while we went in the water. After literally 2 minutes I saw a guy pointing at something which turned out to be our bags half submerged in water. We ran over and pulled them out at which point I realized I only had one sandal! While Jessie was hysterically laughing I frantically looked for my sandal ...

Mombasa, Kenya frogiedog... I will be concluding my Africa adventures on the coast south of Malindi (right near where I just was). This will be the first time that David and I have parted company while here, and I'm very excited to spend 4 days in a cottage with 4 others - 2 Dutch, 1 French and 1 fellow Canadian, only 2 of whom I have met. These are the sort of times that I most look forward to, and it will be hard to not count down the days to getting there. Until then, the adventure continues...
Mombasa, Kenya aiden... and 75 students. The Headmistress informed us that there were normally many more children but that malaria had hit the region and many students were out sick. The walls of the school were covered with alphabet charts and pictured of African animals. The school functions as a charity, it offers education at a reduced cost and a free meal.
