... his white dinner jacket, black trousers, black shirt and white bow tie. Our team performed admirably in the syndicate quiz finishing 1st equal on 17 points. However we lost out on the tie-break. The question was "How long was the Hundred Years' War"? There were 3 teams in the tiebreak. We thought 113 years and the other 2 teams went for 65 and 114 years. The correct answer was 116 so we were close but not close ...

... They liked coming here for the sea breezes. It is high on a hill and overlooks the harbour. We stop for a washroom break and some snapshots of the harbour.

Back on the bus and we head to the center of the city where there is a real live bull ring. They actually still have bull fights here as they have in days gone by. This is actually a relatively new structure, dating from 1929. It has three levels and looks kind of small if you ask me. Not ...

... water, juices and ice cream. We are close to the break even point with 2 days to go. So last day drinks will be free!! Yeh! The other advantage of this is that you are not surprised by a large final day bill at check out when you discover that you consumed more than you thought. ... before heading up to the town of Soller for dinner. We ate at a little place recommended by Trisha, which specialises in "pintxos" - which are generally small pieces of baguette with various toppings - very nice. Maybe the highlight of dinner though was the strange device that came with my cider, which helped pour and aerate the cider before drinking it as a shot...
