Nous avons pris l'autobus publique pour atteindre le sommet du vesus, le volcan n'a pas tellement a offrir, mais la vue sur la bay est vraiment belle. Ensuite, nous avons visités les ruines d'Herculaneom. Une autre ville disparue sous l'eruption du vesus il y a pres de 2000 ans. il y a encore beaucoup de travail d'archeologie en cours, mais on peut voir que la ville est meiux conserver, il y a meme des batiments de 2 et 3 etages et des pieces de bois qui ont traversé le temps !

apres toutes ces belles villes d'italie, voici naples: l'afreuse! On pourrait aussi dire bienvenue a Verdun en Italie! Ici, la ville est sale, les ruessont ornés d'une grande quantité de déchest et aussi bondées de vendeur itinérants qui fuient des que les patrouilles d'immigrations arrivent!

acceuillant, en tout cas, ils ont souvent l'air bete. Ils sont peu
nombreux a parler et ou comprendre autre chose que l'italien. Ils
n'ont aucun sens du civisme, cela viens probablement de leur
egocentricite. Je dois dire que depuis le debut de notre voyage, nous
ne sommes pas impressione par leur comportements!

Found a really cool red leather satchel to replace my old grey nylon one that has given me 9or10 years of service.

Also went to get 1 more tripe roll before leaving town and discovered they had beef too so tried one of them instead. Just as amazing as the tripe one!!!

... umbrella and raincoat got soaked through to our underwear! Next day it rained hard too but did not mind a lazy day with no sightseeing. The city of Naples has a few nice areas but is a really dirty city and one day of sightseeing was plenty. Seeing Naples and Mt. Vesuvius from a distance is the best way to see them but south of Naples and the Almafi coast is not to be missed.

Buon Giorno! This morning we woke up in Napoli or commonly known as Naples! This would be the port where you could take tours to Mt. Vesuvius or the ruins of Pompeii, the famed Roman city that was buried by volcanic ash after the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79AD. Or, tours were available to the beautiful coastal areas of Sorrento and Capri! Today, we opted to remain in Naples and tour the city ...

... Off the main forum area were the residential streets. Unlike many modern cities the rich and poor lived side by side. I have taken many pictures of ash covered inhabitants and wall frescos as well as the forum, streets and house of the inhabitants. Ask when we get back and I will offer to do a slideshow and yes I have been editing my pictures as I go. (Mostly).
