With our group of study abroad students, we took a day trip to Conwy. Conwy is a medieval walled town in North Wales. On our way to the castle, there was a tent set up for an organization which rehabbed owls and falcons. We had the chance to pet the owls and Amanda got to hold a young baby owl. They had souvenirs at the Castle shop that Cheryl could not pass up, an actual bow & arrow set made in Sherwood Forest. Despite being of timber, Cheryl will do her best to get this & a wooden sword back into Australia.
... buildings has changes to stone. The roads between the buildings are wider and there are actual footpaths. The Welsh dragon is everywhere. We had to pay 20p to pee, somewhat more than they did 31 years ago, day book says 2p to pee.

... a lake. Next was Snowdonia National Park where we stopped to walk on Snowden mountain, the tallest mountain in England and Wales. One last stop before finding our hostel for the night is the town with the longest name which is on the Isle of Anglesea. That night we stayed in Caernarfon but we arrived so late there wasn't much to see anything before we had planned to meet for dinner.
