... we needed another shift in perspective. We had to treat the next few days as a kind of training regime rather than a holiday - just grind out the miles to get through a bad patch. We can't go as far as "embracing" the rolling hills but we can tackle them slowly one at a time.

Riding in Shock
... tyre for David was the last straw as we navigated heavy traffic.
We went to our first Starbucks to discuss over coffee whether (a) we could physically carry on (b) whether we wanted to carry on. We've cycled over 2,000 miles in 25 days and I'm at my lowest physically and mentally. We decided to sleep on it and reappraise in the morning - our 3rd rest day.

Today we drove around Branson to see the town and many of the theaters.

Branson day three
... beginning to look ugly. We had severe hail and thunderstorms tonite. We also had them yesterday. Just what we need, our car in the parking lot and not in a garage!
Tomorrow is predicted to be cooler. We plan on some shows and museums tomorrow.

Branson is in the middle of the beautiful Ozark mountains; we camped at Table Rock State Park, one of the nicest parks we've stayed in so far. There is so much to see and do here that I usually only saw the folks at breakfast and later for dinner. The first day they did some sight seeing and later took a dinner cruise on the Branson Belle.
