... there were another 30 or 40 cars having a snooze. Again, this was a huge mixture from the very ratty to the almost pristine, but even more dusty than the museum. Apparently they swap the cars in and out of the main museum as the whim takes them. Great little bonus.
We will head northward toward Washington, up through the Shenandoah Valley, but will pause at the Blue Ridge Music Center to check it out and leave our thanks with Erynn for a very special weekend.
So I miscalculated a little bit on just how long it would take to drive the BR Parkway.
Two and a half days was not nearly enough.
Day one was fogged out in any case, but day two was gorgeous. Too many places to stop and take in the scenery. Still, a peaceful, almost zen way to travel: no traffic lights, no traffic, no 100-foot signs, just smooth sailing along quiet, open road. A few cyclists working hard up the hills. ...

The climb was 4 pitches nearly 500 ft. tall with an amazing view that was slightly foggy but you could get the gist. Probably one of the most fun climbs I have ever done.
