Corfu was surprisingly warm today, around the mid 70s, which was warm enough for us to spend some time at the Aqualand water park. I've never been to a larger water park and we make is just in time before they closed for the winter. Me and my buddies played around until it began to get cool towards the late afternoon.

This morning we visited the ...
Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece mylifesjourney... and not at all a balcony. Hence needing help climbing.

And then. There are all those people that just annoy the **** out of me. I'm telling you what, "Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us." is crossing my mind about 20 times a day. It's like everybody wants to be the first one on the bus, the first one off the bus, the first one in the buffet line, the first one in the signup line, the first one... you get the picture. I keep ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece josiezim... straight for the cable car queue. The compromise (after Robyn found out the cable car queue was an hour’s wait) was a donkey ride up the zig zag path. Robyn only just got on her donkey before it took off at full speed. Olivia was on next and much to Mitchell’s disgust the guy lifted him straight off his feet and planted him behind her as a pillion passenger. Next was Chris’s ride with Ryan planted in front of him. Their donkey ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece sewtersojourns... in albanian and she got up and went with him. Nuts! Also this man was asleep on a chair near us and he kept hacking up chest stuff and spitting it on the floor. We could have upgraded to a cabin but it would have cost an extra 50 euros so we had to rough it out. And rough is exactly how the see got worse and worse till in the end at like 7am the man came around and gave everyone sick bags we had one between me Katy and Ian and was wondering who was going to use it first ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelle... I ordered about 4 meze each there was so much yummy food we had local sausage, cheese pies, saganaki of course, meatballs, fried shrimps and salad, tziki, break and wine all for 30 euro. We then went for a walk to the Listern its a street made of marble and all bars with seating along it where the people who want to be seen go so we sat there and watched the people walking past all glamourous ladys in amazing shoes and clothes its a cool place Corfu town.
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelle... fishes in it amazing. Ian rang me to tell me that he was in a little cafe up on the village and that the village was brilliant really Greek so I think he is happy that we are getting out of here so that we can see a bit more of the island tomorrow. He came to the beach and ended up having a swim and we had a lovely lunch in the taverna and had a really nice day. The guys from the hostel where on the beach and we had a little chat with them. <br ...
Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelle... the hostel which was down a really steep cliff no way of getting back up to the village apart from walking so I dont think I will be seeing much of the island! Although the view down to the sea and the little fishing harbour is amazing we sat why Brian went off to find us a room. This is when all the fun started the place is like a run down hovel they have a swimming pool which is not finished with old toys and ...
Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelleWell I finally made it to Sarande! I was suppose to catch the 8am bus to get to Sarande but I didnt set my alarm clock correctly so I actually woke up at 8 rather than being on the bus at 8! I was awoke in the middle of the night by the Candian guy and Kiwi guy carrying the hostel owner into his bed in my room it was a classic, Scott the hostel owner a really nice guy from Newcastle. So anyway back to the bus I was told there was another one at 9:30 so I strolled ...
Sarande, Albania richardcowley... the hillsides look like honey combs with empty frames of buildings-concrete floors with rebar sticking out of the top. We were told that Albanians like to secure their ownership of the land by starting construction. They do not believe in mortgages, so it may take several decades to finish a home, hotel, office or other structure.. There are seemingly hundreds of unfinished buildings everywhere. Mexico has nothing on Albania! On our way out to an ...
Sarande, Albania jimandlana... whine.

The road still climbed after Strinylas although it was long curving bends now rather than switchbacks. I sensed that I would soon be at the summit and, had I continued, would reach the watershed point quite soon and roll on down to the north coast. I stopped at a spot by the side of the road to observe the panorama of the lower hills to the west, the sun now sinking down to their level. From this height the narrow coastal strip, with all of its dubious ...
