Finding Friends on the Road & Exploring Branson

A travel blog entry by pykesonthego on Sep 08, 2014

As we left Skoglunds and got on the road back towards Missour - I was snapping pictures of the roller-coaster road ahead when I noticed a Voltage brand of 5th wheel 2 vehicles ahead of us. Lo & behold - our friends Jan & Steve Barnett had left another area of Illinois that morning, and there they were! We made contact via text message - stopped at a rest area, ...

    Non-Travel Day

After performing some domestic chores around the camper we headed into Branson, MO, to see what all the hoopla is about. Our first stop was at "Danna's Bar-B-Que & Burger" for lunch, Valerie had read that they had gluten free rolls so we decided to try it out. The bar-b-que pork and the gluten free rolls were great, and the portions ...

    Travel Day

This morning because of the rain we slept in, and didn’t leave the campground until 10:00. We
drove west a short distance to Republic MO, and the “Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield” where we spent about 3 hours talking to the rangers, watching the movie and taking a ...
