... was cool.....students in their black cloaks standing around. It is a town that you enjoy the longer you.re there. Art nouveau, Art Deco buildings are beautiful. ... Went to the markets and got cheese, ham n bread for lunch haha along with the rosado is wonderful. Oranges, bananas, mandarins n massive strawberries adds to our lunch etc for the day. 4 euro all up. We ended up going to portugals highest mountain and only ski area. Serra Estrela 1950m, drove up to top, snow still in places. People everywhere, kids on toboggans, views wow...it was a Saturday so everyone out for a picnic as beautiful day no wind, clear skies. ... buildings are locked. Still there are people along the walkways, in the restaurants along the river and on the bridge. It feels good to get out into the sun and walk.
