OHLA FROM CUBA !!!!!!

... at the Marina, did a little tourist browsing and then went to the Turtle farm. There was a mammoth one and a lot of other tanks with small and bigger ones in them. When we got back to the resort we had a dip in the pool, drank cocktails and then got up on stage for a SALSA lesson. It was so much harder than I expected, we just didn't have the rythem like the Cuban's I guess!! Our stay was lots of fun as I'm sure the photo's suggest. Enjoy.....but there is more

Getting Started

... our traveling companions, we have education well-represented. We are a companionable group-with a lot of good story tellers. We have not been doing much more than eating and relaxing. It's a joy to be able to look at the sea all day long-the water is a deep blue, the sky is clear, and the winds are calm. What more could we ask?

Our last diving day in the Caymans

... is the size of a pea and hides well, so finding is rare. What a coincidence! We are out of internet for 2 days already. The internet Hubby found does not work anymore and, as expected the LAN chick, who vanished almost a week ago with vague promises, just ... vanished! Never to be heard of again. We need to book a hotel for tomorrow night for Grand Cayman. And our first ...

Steak and horror movie day

... weather again. Dr T wanted me to go on my own, I say: no way. If they did not top up their supplies in the supermarket, there is nothing left he will eat; I need his advice! Luckily new stuff arrived and we buy food for 2 days: 2 lunches, 2 diners, NO booze: 80 Dollar!!! We also rent 'Saw II'. Very nice steak, frietjes and a scary movie. Life is good!

Hubby's birthday!!!

... the perfect gift for Dr T's birthday... But, this is about diving. I took a Sudafed this morning. THE wonder medicine for divers with a sinus problem. It does not heal but opens up the sinuses for a couple of hours, so you can dive. And it works! We do 2 wonderful dives. In between, whoever did not have breakfast, starts snacking. We even have a cookie ...

Little Cayman: my best dive ever

... ago, I would have jumped to the surface. Not knowing what to think, I swim away. And he is following me. Dr T laughs his head off. I have Mr. Grouper and he has Mrs Grouper and, no kidding, they want HUGS. Wait a minute: fish do NOT hug. Well, these do. They rub and rub. We pat them, very carefully. They love it. Now I certainly do not want to surface! And it spoils my taste for grouper: they are too cute to eat! We sail home on my boat: (I ...

Where Marina asks a security guard if he wants

... we discover the rules are as severe as in the States, between Cayman and Cayman? It takes forever. Our hand luggage it put to one side and a boy is going through it. He finds: a hand lotion, a mosquito stick and a nose spray in my hand luggage. I put it in a (USA approved) plastic, small, zipped bag. He says 'no.' We start explaining: approved by USA security laws, ... . Dr T says: your paper says 8 by 8 inch, this is smaller ...
