Megísti (Kastelorizo), Greece pmitroulias... about the placement of our tent (too close to the other tents, too close to the toilet, not in the shade, etc etc, we set up in a likely spot, and magically the guitar and the flute appeared, two rugs came out of nowhere, the lights were turned on, and we were sitting under the white leaves of the olive trees, not speaking much, but having a good time. Christina probably got a mild case of sun-stroke, and was not feeling too good. I enjoyed the night, despite not saying ...

kas, Turkey kbod2004... with his back to, and not particularly paying attention to the armchair He seemed to be waiting for a bus too, although to another location. I put my day pack on the chair, to keep it off the dusty sidewalk. He didn't say anything. I later took it off, I don't know why. I didn't sit in the cushionless chair, tired as I was, only because sitting on anything causes me to get hot and sweaty. Another man approached and spoke to the first man, saying I know not what. They ...
Iznik, Bursa, Turkey oldrover... which had a super rooftop deck offering views of town and the nearby mountains. After ditching bags, our group walked into town and purchased the sea kayak tour for the next day. On Fridays there is a large local market in Kas so we went to check it out. It was very much for the locals with hardly a tourist in sight. As usual there was a lot of fresh produce and knock-off clothes from Asia. It was still early so we took ...
Kas, Antalya, Turkey rnriggins... shallows and laughed at each other trying to stand on the rocks -- shivering from the cold... There wasn't much to see - we did hear bats flying around and prayed that they didn't come and swoop us! We swam into the other section of the cave and it was the same thing so we swam back out into the sunlight - it penetrated the water and you could see all the way to the bottom. I was suprised that there wasn't more fish around - I only saw a few ...
Kalekoy, Turkey chooklotto... several of her largest cities and her capitol. First we go to Kusadasi where cruise ships stop on they way round the Aegean. Then to Denizli, Konya, Cappadocia, Ankara (the capitol), Bursa and back to Istanbul. It is a trip of 1600 miles around Turkey. It is a fantastic journey - highly recommended to all. Turkey is a pleasant surprise. Kusadasi: Cruise ships stop here; Homer's legendary Troy; Bay of Edremit; through forests ...
Istanbul, Turkey jbg63... Then when I shut the door to stop him he would open it, come in and take chips, then slam the door shut on the way out. So I locked the door. When I unlocked it he came in, kicked me, took some chips and then preceded to urinate at the entrance to my sleeper and slammed the door behind him. Needless to say I was pretty pleased when the train pulled into Aleppo.
Istanbul, Turkey ang79Since my mom side leaves in Istanbul, every summer we go nowhere but istanbul (12 hours from mersin) to visit my cousins, aunts and my dear grand mother. Opposed to hear, the bus transportation in Turkey is comfortable and cheaper than air wave. And if not istanbul than my mom took us to Ankara. Ahhh Ankara, I definitely liked it more than Istanbul and feel more myself. Istanbul is too big, it is always hard to go from one place to another. One day I should be there as a tourist.
