After breakfast, we met our guide for the day, Attilio. He was a hon not a hun and took awesome care of us throughout the day. We tooled up to Chamonix-Mont Blanc in air conditioned comfort, which was a welcome relief on a day of high heat and humidity. As we pulled up to the ticket sales building, the line was at least 300 yards long with an approximate wait of 2-3 hours just get a boarding pass for the cable car. Attilio ...

On Tuesday, Mum and I went down to do shots on goal (soccer) and we met two really nice boys from Paris - Esteban and Emilio. We grabbed a cold beer and enjoyed the view of the mountains. Dad is flying over from the UK tomorrow afternoon to join us for about 10 ...

The Chamonix facility has several indoor and outdoor pools. The largest pool is an ...
Had a great day exploring yesterday, but I don't really enjoy snowboarding alone. A bit of FB stalking revealed that a guy I met around 10 years ago (on a ski season in Les Deux Alpes), and his wife, were doing a season in Val D'Isere. Luckily Tom and Carolyn were happy to meet up and after they'd finished chalet maid duties I caught up with them over there. We had a great time in La Fornet, today brought heavy snow and reduced ...
