      ... delicious! Long story short, it was both of our first time baking a roll cake, and the cake was overbaked and got all rubbery :( To add to that, the apple cinnamon filling got really messy and uneven, despite us cooling the cake rolled in a parchment paper for an hour and spreading the filling carefully! With time running out and the perfectionist in me crumbling, we made an executive decision to ditch the roll cake and bought a nice princess cake (prinsesstårta) instead. ...

      So, today was my first day at gymnasiet (grades 10-12, ages 15-18 in Sweden). I woke up early and put on my best outfit and packed my bag (hah just kidding). Victoria normally takes a bus to school, which is about 45 minutes, but today Anneli drove us to school since we needed to get there earlier to see Lucia celebrations. We got there around 8:20am and followed the crowd to the gym with hard wooden floor. There were teachers in the mix but they weren't herding the students ...
