... central square, Stortorget, where the Danish King beheaded 82 people in 1520 (he was in the church nearby being crowned at the time!) The heads were left to roll around for three days and the streets were red with blood. (A great image to think about as we sat and ate our dinner). A house in the square has 82 white stones said to represent the heads, although the house was built 80 years before the head chopping took place. ... stop Gamla Stan, my favourite place. It's soo old and cute. I buy a stockholm hoodie and stockholm bag and wander round marvelling at this absolutely beautiful city. I don't want to leave tomorrow. Why didn't I stay longer for goodness sake???!! 5pm wander back to hotel and fall asleep until 10pm!! ... ham for sandwiches. Students have different lunch times, so they just kind of came and went in their own time. It wasn't as organized as how it was for my lunch periods which had distinct starts, ends and transitions. The school didn't have a ton of decorations or student products up and around. Yay, I love it when I orchestrate good parties, haha, especially because many guests get disappointed that Stockholm is so dead during weeknights around this time of the year. I also love the Italian language. It really sounds so expressive and rhythmic. And the way Italians use their hands and facial expressions-- something you don't see everyday in Stockholm!
