After a peaceful night and watching the sun go down on the midnight sun beach it was just a short drive today, just 200km to get to the Swedish coast. En route we visited Sweden's only working Linen Mill at Vaxbo where amazingly having pulled a cord. a sliding glass sound proofed door opened and we were allowed to follow the blue painted line on the floor of the mill, walking right next to working looms. ... until 13:25, which gave us the rest of the morning to mooch about in the lovely warm sunshine. So light in fact we are up at 0430 and after a coffee en route by 0515 so now we feel we have been driving for ages, and of course we have. Not sure where we are heading today except towards Umea and we will try to find a nicer overnight stop when we are too tired to continue. Well, 1700 hours local time and we are in a ...

Chasing the Midnight Sun!

... recommended on the top ten day trips to make from Stockholm. Here we faced our first navigational challenge. It started pouring, we couldn't see much of the place and signage was abysmal. We had no map of this town, so after much circling around as if in a dreadful 'Twilight Zone' episode, I whip out my iPhone for the compass! ... But no matter which way we turned the compass showed that we were going west!! As the rain let up, we ...
