The location of the hotel is why we chose to stay here for our quick overnight trip. It was beautiful inside the lobby, however valet service and bell service took way too long. Our room was ok for paying $650. I have definitely stayed in nicer rooms. But you pay for convenience.

This hotel is perfect in every way, a gorgeous hotel that creates an atmosphere from America 1950s where you almost expect to pass Walt himself in the corridor! I love everything about it

        Grand Californian

We stayed in a Park View room during the Tinkerbell 1/2 Marathon weekend.

The room was great, overlooking both the pool and Disney's California Adventure. Noise was no issue (from the pool) and the room was neat and clean.

We enjoyed the early morning entry into DCA via the entrance from the hotel. The line gets long for this extra magic, but goes quickly if everyone has their tickets/passes ready.

I've stayed at all three Disney properties at the Disneyland Resort. Each one is wonderful and each hotel has a very distinct personality.

        An awesome Hotel

We were here for three nights. Rooms were well equipped, comfortable and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is, as you would expect, well set up to cater for families. If you are visiting the DisneyLand theme parks then it is impossible to find accommodation in a better location. The hotel has its own entrance to the California Adventure theme park. We loved it.

Our very first time at Disneyland, travelling all the way from Sydney Australia, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The park was easily accessable from the hotel as well as Downtown Disney. It felt like we were in Disneyland 24 hours a day. The service was impeccible, especially when we dined at the Napa Rose. Our waiter, Saucy, made the evening exceptional. I highly recommend the Grand Californian.

We decided to take a quick overnight trip to Disneyland and go big. We stayed at the Grand Californian for the location. We flew in around 8am, got our car and headed straight to the hotel. We checked in and headed straight for Radiator springs. I also got a fast pass so we can ride it again if JT loved the ride. It took over an hour in line and to …

Yesterday was travel day #1, it was challenging to say the least. Someone had the brilliant idea of using our orphan British Airways points to book at flight to LAX so we could catch our Norwegian flight to Gatwick. BA doesn't fly to LAX, they book their passengers on American Airlines. And there were no flights available on points for Thursday …

... nav already had a view point programmed in so we drove there with ease and a kind but slightly crazy American lady with the biggest camera I've ever seen insisted in taking photos of us on our camera so that was nice. There is a lot of pictures of me in front of something, then dan in front of the same thing.  Next on the agenda - Beverly hills! It was meant to get us there in 10 mins but took us 45mins instead because of traffic. ...

... Also tried to go the LA Zoo on Friday. Uhhh bad choice. We went to the Miami Zoo two years ago and stayed there for hours, and I remember having quite a good time. I know zoos are like a kid's zone, but the LA zoo was ******* ridiculous. It took us over an hour to get there, we stayed for an hour, then took us like 1.5 hours to get back. We only stayed for an hour because the annoyingness of the kids was just so ...
