We made it to Disneyland still with us (Rachels family!) Here Jack O got to get out and about a bit, on the last day we got some pics with Mickey Mouse and Pluto. Both looked at me a little strange but you know, Jack O is HOT!

Day 1, Sun, Aug 18, 2002 Drove from home in San Diego and checked in at the magnificant Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort. Our room had a view of the monorail; the kids just loved watching it go by. We met MIL and FIL there. FIL did not look well. He was battling cancer. Earlier that year James and I stood out in the cold to get free round trip tickets on Jet Blue, so we used them to fly out to LA to stay with my aunt and uncle - we got to visit with my cousins and we spent a night and 2 days at Disneyland!
Well after a lazy today getting things together, waiting for Christopher to finish school and all his after school activities it was time to head down to see the mouse. We knew this meant a late arrival but it was an idea that seemed to be the best of both worlds where we would not have to deal with heavy traffic and be there for an early start at the park.
