Our family of 8 had a wonderful 7 night stay at this hotel. [after we arrived home we discovered an overcharge of $250 on our bill but, a few emails, later we have the refund and an apology ] The hotel is just 10 minutes from the airport, next door to a modern air conditioned shopping complex, a 10 min walk from the Hard Rock Cafe and across the road from Waterbom park. Our Private Garden pool view rooms were very central for access to pool, breakfast, kids club and restaurants. The rooms were very quiet and dark so easy to sleep in in the mornings. We were also given vouchers for complimentary drinks and spa services. The spa is a beautiful new building with a wide range of services worthwhile visiting for a look or a massage. The staff were very friendly and professional. We also appreciated that we were able to get a 4pm late checkout.

First days stay has been unfaultable. The bar service and the meals are both of a high standard.

Draft copy For some unholy reason, we got up early after a most blissful sleep in one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Though it's entirely possible it was simply because I was so tired. We joined the extended family for breakfast which runs from close to dawn, till 10:30. The food available seemed near endless. While the children …

The group split up today Adam and family plus Fred enjoyed a fun filled day at Waterbom Park. Tina and Alexis explored the area and made arrangements for Wednesday. I had a "quiet" day shopping ;).

In the evening we had vouchers to attend our hotels BBQ theme night dinner with fire dancers. The food was excellent with lots of variety and …

We spotted Vanessa and Jo in their cool shades, summery outfits and giant smiles and ran to give them big squeezes. They tricked is in to thinking we had dreadful accommodation, but it was anything but! Our own villa all to ourselves, newly decorated, with a kitchen, garden, communal swimming pool and a tonne of space. Despite all being shattered we couldn't resist having a night out to get our holiday started. Joanna, Rose and Vanessa picked up some goodies including ...

... something within prevented Kieran from breaking his nose. Of course, he laughed, and said "you big strong boy". Kieran was dreading the turnover, surely a towel had to appear then!?! Thankfully it did! A flimsy little flannel for Kieran to cover himself while he battered his chest, quads, feet, fingers and head.... everywhere was in agony. He even pulled clumps out of Kieran's hair saying "ahhh loose hair". Yet for some reason Kieran was too much of a mug to say anything - scared ...

... of fish swim about the wreck, vivid and bright in colour. Diving to depths of about 10 -15 metres much to the bemusement of the scuba divers on the wreck. Parts of the wreck you can still swim through, provided you have a good set of lungs and pausing to tap the scuba divers on the head and wave, it was an amazing experience. Returning to shore with Geoff, I suggested we head out with some bread and attempt to see if we could feed some of the fish. It worked! It ...
