Our family of 8 had a wonderful 7 night stay at this hotel. [after we arrived home we discovered an overcharge of $250 on our bill but, a few emails, later we have the refund and an apology ] The hotel is just 10 minutes from the airport, next door to a modern air conditioned shopping complex, a 10 min walk from the Hard Rock Cafe and across the road from Waterbom park. Our Private Garden pool view rooms were very central for access to pool, breakfast, kids club and restaurants. The rooms were very quiet and dark so easy to sleep in in the mornings. We were also given vouchers for complimentary drinks and spa services. The spa is a beautiful new building with a wide range of services worthwhile visiting for a look or a massage. The staff were very friendly and professional. We also appreciated that we were able to get a 4pm late checkout.

First days stay has been unfaultable. The bar service and the meals are both of a high standard.

... it was Blue!!!! So I had to have it. A Sim card purchased for the iPad and I was once more electronically connected.
Then all the way back to the centre to Ubud and as we drove up a very small crowd cheered and my walking sick was held aloft and passed to me as I alighted from the bike.

After that I had to go into Casa Luna and order a long macchiatto and a lime tart - rewards for bravery (and a bit of throwing caution to the winds) - I think Leunig would say OK.

... get some exercise and walk some of my anxiety and frustration off. Unfortunately, I was never able to mail that USB (but fortunately I didn't need to). After I got back to the hotel, I set my stuff down and went to the mall to scrape up some dinner. The rest of the night was spent messaging back and forth with Randy - trying to decide if we should go to Nepal or not. We were concerned about our safety. We had no idea what to expect when ...

... pressure, heart rithm and temperature. I pass the test and the doctor gets to work. She is very glad with the beautiful healing of the wound. Although there is only one and a half of the stitches left, cutting them is quite a hassle because the scissors are blunt. The nurse tries to find a new one but there is none around. One more try and there it goes. Ten minutes later I am back in the taxi, for another hour of waiting in line. My SOS adventure is ...

... figureheads at the summit and edges is ever present already). Having said that, the countryside still dominates and the buildings feel like they are piercing their way through the jungle, as opposed to being the other way around. Space is clearly much more of an issue here, Lombok had vast plains of open land whereas so far Bali's 'streets' seem more wall to wall with buildings. But this could just be because of the limited
areas I've seen of both islands.

... for some food. After some deliberation as to whether we should opt to spend more money for good taste or save money and get noodles, we settled for noodles. The day had already cost us enough we had to save money somewhere. So once again we found ourselves eating outside a convenience store with our pot noodles and green tea. This is becoming a signature scene for Niomi and I which is certainly nothing to be proud of. However we have come to realise when money is tight you ...
