Our family of 8 had a wonderful 7 night stay at this hotel. [after we arrived home we discovered an overcharge of $250 on our bill but, a few emails, later we have the refund and an apology ] The hotel is just 10 minutes from the airport, next door to a modern air conditioned shopping complex, a 10 min walk from the Hard Rock Cafe and across the road from Waterbom park. Our Private Garden pool view rooms were very central for access to pool, breakfast, kids club and restaurants. The rooms were very quiet and dark so easy to sleep in in the mornings. We were also given vouchers for complimentary drinks and spa services. The spa is a beautiful new building with a wide range of services worthwhile visiting for a look or a massage. The staff were very friendly and professional. We also appreciated that we were able to get a 4pm late checkout.

First days stay has been unfaultable. The bar service and the meals are both of a high standard.

... br> While i had drinks in my pack, I thought I'd get a cold drink and enjoy it on a beach deck chair. Drink $1.50, chair $5. A bargain if one planned to vegetate.
My hiking day pack is not best suited for Bali beaches, most just have a small pack large enough for a towel, I am constantly getting taxis and bike riders offering to take me to the airport.

Today (day 2) back to the beach for our aquatic experience.
First a boat trip to Turtle island, passing through so many water tourists doing paraponting, tubing, flyingfishing, banana skimming and jetskiing - welcome to touristic Bali!

Turtle Island was your typical touristy animal experience. Turtles, a small variety of other caged and boxed local animals, including the little fish that nibble the skin on ...

... taxi to The Indus about 3 kms away. So we sat and waited for the 'free taxi' After half an hour - no taxi! It was getting dark. What to do?
I said to the very pleasant staff - 'We can't wait any longer!. I will get my own taxi!' and walked off to do that.
That was done fairly quickly and off we set with a taxi driver who appeared so unusually happy I think he had benefitted from some form of 'stimulant'.
We hadn't gone far when it became obvious why the Casa Luna taxi ...

... so uninterested there's no point even trying. I was glad to have survived undisturbed in my seat when the women skipped off stage and the final ending instrumental was played. It was well worth the money and something I think everyone should invest time in seeing if they visit Bali as it's a massive part of their culture. After the show we went for a post event meal back at Bendi's our cheap and cheerful discovery. I'm really not keen on the owner at the restaurant, he's ...

... music throughout this performance was wonderful and created with instruments both similar, but different to what we've seen at home. The dancers were graceful and wore beautiful costumes and the guide provided helped us understand the stories they danced to. The dancing was so intricate in terms of movements through the dancers' finger, toes, and even their eyes. It was great to watch and listen to the music. When the show was over, we were both tired from our long, full, but fun ...
