Our family of 8 had a wonderful 7 night stay at this hotel. [after we arrived home we discovered an overcharge of $250 on our bill but, a few emails, later we have the refund and an apology ] The hotel is just 10 minutes from the airport, next door to a modern air conditioned shopping complex, a 10 min walk from the Hard Rock Cafe and across the road from Waterbom park. Our Private Garden pool view rooms were very central for access to pool, breakfast, kids club and restaurants. The rooms were very quiet and dark so easy to sleep in in the mornings. We were also given vouchers for complimentary drinks and spa services. The spa is a beautiful new building with a wide range of services worthwhile visiting for a look or a massage. The staff were very friendly and professional. We also appreciated that we were able to get a 4pm late checkout.

First days stay has been unfaultable. The bar service and the meals are both of a high standard.

And had lunch at Bubba Gumps. Worth the money to eat there. Yummy seafood. We walked through the markets and onto the beach. What an experience. I was io scared to even look at anything because the second you do they drag you into their shop. Aaarrggghhh. On the beach we bought a beer and sat ...

He started with some breathing and movement of the arms which we all did and then he did the same movements with a huge deep infectious laugh and encouraged us all to join in. One could not help but smile and join in. It turned out to be many of the same moves I had done already that day with laughter worked in with the idea of keeping things positive especially when ...

... place, way better than expected. The monkeys were everywhere and several people were letting them jump all over them. I kept well clear as I'd heard stories about people being bitten and even witnessed it a few times whilst there. Next I checked out Ubud palace and the little market both of which weren't all that exciting. Finally I opted to do a walk around the rice paddies, it took several hours but the views were amazing. I stopped at an organic farm ...

... that we were no where close to Bali. The guy left for a few minutes and returned with a some kind of airport guy who spoke some English. The new guy told us we had to fly to Bali and where we actually wanted to go was Denpasar, not Balikpapan.

He told us Lion Air, a regional carrier, would get us there but not sure of the connections.

By this time, it was about 6 p.m. and I communicated with Rachel, where we ...
