... like a sore thumb..or in our case an eskimo), and ask for identification, don't give them your passport. Just cry, empty your wallet and run.

The fines, the spending of fortunes, the dispossession of valuables. It could have been a less expensive few days...but YOPO ladies. To Van Ooi, Chis, Vicky and Kaz; It was admittedly one hell of a few days (and so much better than working!). Now...who is in for the first Wine and Wheel? We have another trip to plan!

... in a back street next to the old town square. Settle in and then start exploring. Did two loads of washing, great to finally be able to properly clean clothes and get something clean to wear. We walked down to the local supermarket and brought some food to see us through, milk, bread - beautifully fresh rye, very yummy, fruit and veg. I love prague, it is such a beautiful city, every time we turn a corner there is more beautiful ...

... Tower on the other. The bridge is closed to traffic but was very crowded with pedestrians and vendors selling souvenirs and various buskers. There are many statues on the bridge and, sheeplike, I rubbed the dog on the statue of St John of Nepomuk so that I would get good fortune and return to Prague one day - but to be fair I generally pet any real dog I see, lol, so I guess that was not quite so uncharacteristic for me :). ... at 7.05 but our super organised daughter did not realise the ticket office shut at 7pm and the ticket machines only took coins and we did not have enough coins. So we broke the law and got on the tram without a ticket! If you get stopped (random inspectors) the fine is a few Czech Koruna. Not sure how many and did not want to find out.
We got a taxi back to the hotel, Rachel, left her ' going out clothes' with us - shock she hung them up! She then headed home ...

... on to avoid heavy fines. Luckily we had enough time, and our driver is good and had his paper work up to date so we didn't run into any issues. After a quick passport check we were back on the way. We eventually made it to our stop. We were dropped off on the other side of town to our hotel and our tour guide was going to take us for a walk through Prague before it was dark. We had a good walk through the palace and Christmas markets ...
