Next day we headed an hour out of town to some thermal springs. We were hungry when we got there, so stopped for lunch at Miguel from our hostel's parents' restaurant. This may have been an error, as would become clear later.

... don't sell post cards in Mendoza and that we couldn't actually post the card we had because they don't have post boxes. You have to take another ticket at the post office, wait for your number and get the stamp stamped. The problem was that the post office closed just after we had bought the stamps and won't be open till Monday. Guess no-one will be getting a card from Mendoza! Whenever you order a ...

This hotel was really amazing, beautiful entry, amazing and comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffet included with the room is really well done. The spa, gym and pools are in great shape, lots of features and the prices are good. Wine tastings in the evening a very nice touch.

    Fancy!

Pulling up to the Diplomatic, you know you're staying somewhere plush! A very grand entryway for a very grand entrance. We had a triple room with views of the Andes that blew my mind every time I looked out the window.

The bathroom was a clear cubical looking into the room but luckily curtains provided sufficient privacy. Nice touches in the room: good quality toiletries and lovely little biscuits left out for us in the living area.

Very comfortable. The staff were very professional and courteous and the daily wine tasting in the private tasting area was an especially nice touch. Even if you've been out all day drinking, always room for one more!
