We biked up to Altea old town to see the church with blue tiled roof. Beautiful from the outside but not so good inside. The surrounding streets were full of artisan shops and a few small cafe's with excellent coffee. Bikes down again and along the front for lunch but found ...

It is almost two months since I was hanging about in Dorset waiting to get the van fixed, and now I am hanging about in Spain for the same reason. The Truma Boiler company in Germany have appeared to be helpful and efficient and after I contacted them on Friday 13th , the following Monday they shipped the parts out to Spain (I should have known that date wouldn't be auspicious). Later.... The temperature has been rising because the wind has dropped and in the sheltered caravan site it is pleasant sitting outside the motorhome with a glass of wine and a good book (at the moment I am reading 'The Interpretation of Murder' by Jed Rubenfeld, and ...

There are lots of English retirees here which means that there are lots of clubs for my grandparents to join and English restaurants and bars for around so we have had traditional English food here as well as Spanish food. Its a very nice place with perfect sunny weather but its very quiet in winter and there are lots of things closed. Tomorrow morning we have to leave for London, it doesn't seem like we have been here long enough to already be leaving again!
