So today is our last day and we are both ready to be done with it! We arrived not until noon in Alicante and we had reserved an excursion to see two towns near Alicante. One was Jalon and is famous for Muscatel wine and the other was Aleta famous for nothing except that the tour guide lives there. So this day turned out to be a double holiday in Spain and ...
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands mamafeathers... getting ourselves into, we embarked on the hike with just our "flippy-floppies". The start of the hike was nothing more than a walk in the park with a nice stone path that led us into a manmade tunnel. The tunnel was pretty neat, complete with ropes to help guide us in the dark and to avoid bailing on the slick rock. Once out of the tunnel, the path changed ...
Benidorm, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands sofenjonThese pictures are from me trying to take a photo of myself writing with my ancient feather pen from the Alicante market and from walking around Alicante on a tour of the the two cathedrals, San Nicolas y Santa Barbara.
The pictures later are from our visit to two little pueblos just outside of Alicante; Guadalest and Altea. In the little town of Guadalest is a beautiful castle ...
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands jessicahwang... up." And now I don't even have to worry about hopes because it's a reality. What a nice feeling. I rarely feel content and satisfied and even more than that excited about things and a truly happy camper. I feel corny. Haha. But I'm glad I feel corny rather than homesick or actually sick or depressed. And I hope that I can hold onto this feeling and experience more great ones as the time comes to pass.
My only sadness is ...
Alicante, Valencian Country, Spain and Canary Islands jessicahwangSo Alex had to go back to the consulate in the morning and being true friends me and Olly decided to join him. In the Brittish consulate you basically have about 15 people at any time who have had their passports robbed. During our short stay we spoke to a few fellow British people around us. A particularily funny convosation started with an old british man who was keen to share his words of wisdom, unfortunately, he was not even slightly wise. He started the ...
Alacante, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01... br>Other highlights of the night include a lonely spanish man with a moustache, when a ladyboy started to dance with Jessicas brother Tomas, Alex licked a mans roses, I sexually attacked a lion statue, and of course when we all shredded the dancefloor with our 'Jump style' techno dancing, similar to the action of a shocked chicken. We slept well after the sun rose for only a couple of hours.

Then we all slept in our own amazingly comfortable beds. Awesome.
Alacant, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01... usual and fell asleep in a wierd location (motorway traffic Island) as usual. Then, as usual, whilst going to the toilet a big animal started rustling around in a bush next to me. I nonchalently threw a massive rock in there to freak it out.

Then we soundly fell asleep to the sound of heavy traffic a few meters away.
Benidorm, Valencia, Spain chris_jones01...

A crew of French-speaking Belgian technicians were working with us and I was able to improve my very poor French, as well as Spanish, during the stay. We were occasionally given the product, a brand new Dodge Nitro, to get to work and back ...
