... we went to see and in Altea there was a beautiful rocky beach where Cristina and I had a really good heart to heart about our lives. Hehe, so corny but it was really good. I <3 her mucho!~! I love good listeners since I'm such a big talker, tehe, but I love talkers too, which thank goodness both Elizabeth and Cristina are!~!

So today was the first day of the official CIEE program in Alicante, Spain. I realize now just how freaking lucky I was to have Elizabeth as my travel companion. I'm so glad it worked out well. We like exploring and we both have enough guts to get us around as well as we're on the same schedule when going out and about around the town and we were able to discover quite a bit just on our own in the last two days in Alicante ...

So Alex had to go back to the consulate in the morning and being true friends me and Olly decided to join him. In the Brittish consulate you basically have about 15 people at any time who have had their passports robbed. During our short stay we spoke to a few fellow British people around us. ... br>Other highlights of the night include a lonely spanish man with a moustache, when a ladyboy started to dance with Jessicas brother Tomas, Alex licked a mans roses, I sexually attacked a lion statue, and of course when we all shredded the dancefloor with our 'Jump style' techno dancing, similar to the action of a shocked chicken. We slept well after the sun rose for only a couple of hours.

... shoes. . . . But i didnt have no clues. . . Crazy man at night. . . . gave Alex a fright. . . . its not these times we choose. . . . Its the Barcalona/Peniscola Blues" . . . . and so it went on.

After a truly genius and uplifting night the Belgians and Germans who were supposed to be leaving in the morning decided to stay another day. Then we all slept in our own amazingly comfortable beds. Awesome.

... usual and fell asleep in a wierd location (motorway traffic Island) as usual. Then, as usual, whilst going to the toilet a big animal started rustling around in a bush next to me. I nonchalently threw a massive rock in there to freak it out.

Then we soundly fell asleep to the sound of heavy traffic a few meters away.

Ich höre den ganzen Tag Englisch - ja es gibt sogar englische Pubs und englisches Essen. Es ist nur ziemlich heiß, schon beim schleichenden Gehen breche ich in Schweißescapaden aus-uff!

Aber gut, das war sicher noch kühl - im August 09 erlebt Spanien eine Hitzewelle - es hat immer über 40 Grad!

... Tom. He was an older fella, missing some teeth, from Athlone in Co. Meath. Joe asked him if he got to the beach much. Tom said yanked up his shirt and said, "Does it look like I get out into the sun??" We had a good laugh because it was quite obvious he didn't.
