Took the SuperCat from Tagbilaran to Cebu City across the Cebu Straight. Easy crossing, about 90 minutes. Taxi from the harbor to Cebu City.

The Diplomat Hotel is OK, nothing fancy but the price is right. Centrally located, walk to shops. PHP50 cab ride to Ayala -- must see! I am no fan of malls but this one is done right. Lots of open spaces, outdoor restaurants and some great shops.

Up early for breakfast at the Alona Tropical Resort on the beach. Nice sunny day, and Eggs and toscino are a good start to the day. Then back to the room to pack for Cebu. Slept very soundly at the Diplomat hotel, and after breakfast in the Hotel Lobby Lounge we met our cabbie for the morning, a referral from Juddy. We were off to the airport, but also wanted to see the Lapu Lapu monument on Mactan Island - with the airport also being on Mactan it was a good trip.

Typhoon is coming in Cebu so dripping is expected.

Checked in Diplomat Hotel at P1,800 per night with double bed and cold and hot shower.
