... took the very sweaty tram back into Koln for some sightseeing around the cathedral which Elly very much enjoyed whilst I checked out the cathedrals pews, luckily she didn't manage to see the downstairs section and I distracted her whilst the people in front of us went down the stairs. The cathedral was too much excitement so we went and grabbed a local gelato before returning to the campsite for a dip in the Rhine to cool off and enjoyed a beer in the sun. ... that Germany is the highest consumer of chocolate behind the USA. Of course we tried some and left the shop with little parcels. After this we walked around some of the old part of the city to arrive at the square and the cathedral. ... and the cobble stone streets. I stumbled upon the chocolate museum. It was in an amazing location right on the water with panorama views of Koln. As you all know I'm not a super fan of chocolate but it was interesting to see a working chocolate factory and the history of the humble coco bean. ... less than 30 minutes before take-off, they could have easily said I was too late. But mercifully they let me on. Safe.
