    ... mullet ( delicious and recommended by waiter) then 2 whole grilled Dorado, white bream, served with that fabulous olive oil and lemon sauce again. We ate every bite and enjoyed. We justified the splurge cause we have to eat hotel food for next two nights. Back to hotel for "digestive" then off the bed after texting with Grant about his tennis tournament today. Found out later in the trip that the bad smell at hotel was the olive production plant near by. Not a good ...

    The flight to Athens was of the "through the night" variety so we had already had a full day on the run before we left London as we'd been leaving Broadway, visiting Blenheim Palace, dropping the car off at Oxford etc then getting to the airport for our flight which arrived in Athens 4am local time. It was crazy in one sense and we were pretty tired and wiped out by the time we arrived in Athens but it had actually been thought out......This way we were picking up the hire car ...

    ... of A (or at least it was when I was there…). They loved it, but we had difficulty with the ‘rhyming’ part because of the language barrier.

    The next afternoon I packed my things and prepared to leave Nafplio. Vatistas’ mom gave me a pair of underwear for New Year’s—she said that she wanted to give me something that wasn’t heavy and that was practical. I told her that it was perfect, thoughtful gift.

    Last night, we went out to the cutest taverna called "Anestri" where they make their own wine. We ate the most delicious lamb (not as good as Boy's lamb though) and danced to something in between Greek and American music.     ... In fact, the effect has been to improve the views of the mountains because the roads do not wind up and around them, but between them at a more level height, allowing spectacular views.

    There is a danger of ribbon development of course, but Greece seems to be quite good with architecture in modern times as well as ancient times.

    I arrived at Corinth in the early afternoon with plenty of time to complete my final task - finding a beach at Corinth!
