The hamlet was built by Marie Antoinette because she wanted to experience a life like the common peasant folk. We did the long walk to the back yard Palace, when you've just gotta get away from the big Palace. You know what I mean. Today we visited Sainte Chapelle which is on the Ile de la Cite, the same island as Cathedrale Notre Dame. This time we needed to change Metro lines which we did with no issues at all. We joined a fairly short queue and entered the most beautiful chapel. It was built by Louis IX around 1240s to house the relics of the Passion of Christ.
