... same as in Salvador. No gourdes to be had anywhere in Fortaleza. It’s as if there is a nation al gourde shortage!!
‘The beach was so clean and nice. The water was lovely…and so many hammocks!!’ We were told. But then I wouldn’t expect anything less in the hammock making capital of the world.

My instructor told Helen I was pretty good and I have to say I agree, I was good, so that is now on the 'to learn' list once home. After all the hard work of taking photos, Helen decided she deserved a bit of R&R so had a 40 minute massage which she loved. That's pretty much Fortaleza. Next stop....... Jericoacoara H & R ...
New place new friends. Fortaleza was cool because right when I got there we went out. Some Chileans brought a big bottle of pisco and before you know it we all were riding happy on the way to pink elephant. It's a popular expensive night club they have here in Brazil. ... on a fellow Brazilian lady we jumped into a beach bar, plastic chairs on the sand just of the road, and had a couple of beers. The place was pretty full of football fans and crawling with staring ladies (I'm guessing those looking for a business transaction) who shouted cute English statements when anyone left.
